' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />18.3 Expectatiops <br /> <br />Violations: The City of CentetviIle recognizes the need to educate its Employees on <br />the subject of sexual h~ntssment and stands committed to provide infonnation and <br />mining. An Employees ate expected to treat each other and the geneml public with <br />respect and to assist in, fostering an environment that is free from unwanted <br />ha.rassm.ent Violations of this policy may result in discipline, including possible <br />discharge. Each situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis depending on the' <br />severity and the circwnsta.nces involved. <br /> <br />Notice: In order for a sexual ha.rassment issue to be addressed, it must be brought <br />to the attention of management h;1 order for action to be ~ infonnation must <br />be fo1:Wa.tded to the appropriate leveI of management <br /> <br />Report to: Any Employee who believes he or she has been hatassed by a c0- <br />worker, sup~or~ or agent of the City should promptly report the ~ of the ' <br />incident or iO.cidents and the, names of the individuals involve4 to his" or her <br />supervisor or in the altematiV~ to the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Responsibility: , Su.pemsOlS should immediately ,report. any incidents of sexual <br />hatassment to the City Administrator. IT the City Administrator is unavailable, <br />supervisolSshould report the incident immediately to the Mayor or a <br />Councilmember. The City AdminiAtrator (or Mayor or Councilmember) will <br />investigate such claims and take appropriate action. <br /> <br />In addition to notifying one of the above people an4 reporting the nature of the <br />hatassment, the Employee is also utged to take the following steps: <br /> <br />A) Qeatly indiCate to the harasser that the conduct is unwelcom~ and document <br />that convetsation; <br /> <br />B) D~ent the occutreD.ces ofhatassment; <br /> <br />C) Submit the documented complaints to your supervisor, the City <br />Administrator, mayor or counN1memher. It is required that the complaint is <br />inw~ ' <br /> <br />D) DocUment any further ha.rassment or reprisals that occur after the complaint <br />is made. <br />, ' <br /> <br />36 <br />
