City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> December 13,2017 <br /> Administrator Statz stated that Staff has spoken with Staff from the City of Hugo who <br /> also utilizes this style of pump and they are very satisfied with it. Discussion ensued <br /> regarding the workings of the pump, general maintenance, lift station structure and the <br /> life expectance of a pump. <br /> Motion by Council Member King, seconded by Council Member Montain to accept <br /> General Repair Services bid of$24,728.50 for the rehabilitation Lift Station 2. All <br /> in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 11. Personnel Policy—PTO carry-over deadline <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the City's Personnel Policy has a limitation on the <br /> amount of PTO carry-over into the next year and that two (2) employees will have more <br /> than their allotment due to increased duties. He requests that Council consider allowing <br /> the carry-over period through January 31, 2018. Council Member Montain clarified that <br /> Administrator Statz was referring to a 40 hour period only and Administrator Statz <br /> concurred. <br /> Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to approve <br /> the Personnel Policy — PTO Carry-Over deadline to January 31, 2018 not <br /> Exceeding 40 Hours. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 12. CDBG Grant Application (downtown water hook-ups) <br /> Administrator Statz stated as of the November meeting, Staff was directed to research <br /> grant opportunities for municipal water hook connection similar to in the past. He stated <br /> that he recently attended a training session at Anoka County associated with Community <br /> Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding with the application for this due two (2) <br /> days following Council's first meeting in January. Administrator Statz is requesting <br /> Council's approval to prepare the grant application. He questioned Council as to their <br /> feelings regarding the downtown reconstruction project/water connections and use of the <br /> funding. <br /> Discussion ensued as to the amount of individuals that would qualify for funding, <br /> approximate cost of the project and scope of project (street reconstruction/water <br /> services) with the street reconstruction being funding through the Street Fund. <br /> Consensus of Council was to apply for the grant at this time. <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Administrator Statz was appreciative for the opportunity to serve the City in the capacity of City <br /> Administrator and eager to lead the City into the future. <br /> Attorney Glaser stated that it was determined to temporarily suspend the Ticket Education <br /> Program at the Police Governing Board meeting. <br /> Page 9 of 10 <br />
