CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> REQUEST FOR <br /> COUNCIL ACTION entervi(Ce <br /> E77 <br /> Agenda Item# Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br /> Administration January 24, 2018 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> Programmatic Stormwater Management Facility Maintenance Agreement <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> As a condition of the Rice Creek Watershed District's (RCWD)permit for the Ruffridge Johnson site <br /> development, a maintenance agreement for the associated Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs); <br /> ponds, infiltration trenches, etc., is required. The city has the option of adopting a site-specific agreement to <br /> cover the BMPs for this project, or adopting a city-wide "programmatic" agreement to cover all <br /> RCWD-permitted sites. <br /> Staff is recommending the programmatic agreement to ensure consistency in maintenance standards. The <br /> agreement largely mirrors the requirements of the NDPES/MS4 permit which governs the maintenance <br /> standards for all BMPs, throughout the city. <br /> COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br /> No direct cost.
