CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> REQUEST FOR <br /> COUNCIL ACTION entervi(Ce <br /> E77 <br /> Agenda Item# Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br /> Administration January 24, 2018 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> Amendment to Ord, #88, Second Series - 2018 Fee Schedule <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> Two changes are being proposed: <br /> -Water Meter Fees: Water meter material costs have increased, necessitating an adjustment in the water meter <br /> fee: Increases are 6%for a 3/4" meter(residential) ($411 to $436) and an increase of 7.25%for a 1" meter <br /> (commercial/industrial/irrigation) ($527 to $565). <br /> -Water Rates/Tier Structure: In an effort to address issues discussed at the City Council meeting, the proposed <br /> changes to the water rate/tier structure now provides a revenue neutral scenario (see attached revised fee <br /> schedule). Also attached are excerpts from city code, related to concerns with sodding/watering requirements. <br /> COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br /> Meter fees as presented -No net cost to city. Water rates - Cost neutral to city. <br /> REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> Review at this time.
