The City defers to the <br /> goals and policies of the RCWD regarding infiltration. <br /> (e) Identify retrofit opportunities in sub-watersheds where water quality treatment standards <br /> are not being met. <br /> Objective 4 <br /> Maintain the integrity of the stormwater collection system. <br /> Related Policies <br /> (a) Develop a systematic approach to maintenance of stormwater ponds and ditches. <br /> (b) Adjust the stormwater utility fee as appropriate to best utilize funds for the maintenance <br /> and capital improvements program. <br /> (c) Work with Minnesota Cities Stormwater Coalition to determine dredging costs, <br /> schedules, and disposal of sediment, especially contaminated sediment. <br /> Objective 5 <br /> Protect recreation, fish, and wildlife resources. <br /> The City is located in a very unique area surrounded by lakes, creeks, beaches, and parks. <br /> Realizing the value of these resources, the City desires to be a part of the preservation of these <br /> valuable resources. <br /> Related Policies <br /> (a) Continue enforcing the City code addressing shoreland activities (see appendix). <br /> (b) Support efforts of the MnDNR, the RCWD, and the Lake Homeowners Association in <br /> managing Centerville and Peltier Lakes. <br /> Objective 6 <br /> Increase public participation through information and education. <br /> The City currently distributes information to all residents through the City's website. This website <br /> provides an excellent forum for distributing information on water resource-related issues and <br /> 5.18 <br /> 56 <br />
