Centerville 2040 <br /> Age demographics <br /> The demographic information was collected by utilizing information from the <br /> 2008 Comprehensive Plan, Metropolitan Council forecasts, and 2010 Census <br /> data. <br /> Like many other communities around the country, Centerville is experiencing <br /> an aging population. The percent of the population within the 40-49, 50-59, <br /> 60-74, and 74 and over age groups have all increased from 2000 to 2010. <br /> Providing adequate housing and services for residents of all ages has been <br /> and will continue to be a priority for the City of Centerville. Centerville is also <br /> seeing a decrease in younger residents. FIGURE 4 below shows a decrease in <br /> the percentage of residents in the 20 to 29 age group from 2000 to 2010.
