PUBLIC HEARING(S) <br /> <br />1. Rezoning / Comprehensive Plan Amendment of Certain Parcels within the <br />Downtown Area <br /> <br />Chair Hanson opened the public hearing at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson gave a brief review of the downtown redevelopment plan and the new zoning <br />categories. He explained that the M1 zoning is commercial on the first floor with the <br />possibility of residential or commercial on the second and third floors. He explained that <br />M2 zoning a higher density level of housing than is currently allowed. Mr. Larson stated <br />that affected property owners have been mailed notices and also the text of the M1 and <br />M2 districts so they more fully understand what the new regulations would allow if they <br /> <br />Page 1 of 14 <br />
