Requested Meeting Date: <br /> Public Works 5/2/2018 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> Gaga Ball Pit <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> For quite some time, the committee has considered the purchase of a Gaga Ball pit for installation at LaMotte <br /> Park. The pit would be portable and would be placed in the hockey rink during the summer and stored inside <br /> over the winter. Public works has the following concerns: <br /> -Many sources now recommend a fall zone around the outside of the pit, similar to playground equipment. This <br /> would not be provided inside the rink and building a pad for the pit with a fall zone, outside the rink would be <br /> cost prohibitive. <br /> - The portable pit may be stolen.
