Centerville 2040 Chapter 5: Parks &Trails CHAPTER 5: PARKS AND TRAILS I..®CAL PARKS The City adopted a Park and Pedestrian System Comprehensive Plan in 1989, which provides goals, a needs assessment, concept plans and operations and maintenance information related to the local park and trail system. Previous versions of the City's overall Comprehensive Plan, have contained Parks and Trails Chapters, but a full-fledged system plan has not been developed since the 1989 effort. That document and this Plan are intended to serve as a basis for developing a Parks and Trails Master Plan. Among other things, that plan would serve as the basis for reestablishing the city's park dedication fee. The plan elements reflected in the Park and Trails Plan are based on goals and polices developed during the Comprehensive Plan update process.
