Centerville 2040 Chapter 5: Parks &Trails <br /> CHAPTER 5: PARKS AND TRAILS <br /> I..®CAL PARKS <br /> The City adopted a Park and Pedestrian System Comprehensive Plan in 1989, <br /> which provides goals, a needs assessment, concept plans and operations and <br /> maintenance information related to the local park and trail system. Previous <br /> versions of the City's overall Comprehensive Plan, have contained Parks and <br /> Trails Chapters, but a full-fledged system plan has not been developed since <br /> the 1989 effort. That document and this Plan are intended to serve as a basis <br /> for developing a Parks and Trails Master Plan. Among other things, that plan <br /> would serve as the basis for reestablishing the city's park dedication fee. <br /> The plan elements reflected in the Park and Trails Plan are based on goals and <br /> polices developed during the Comprehensive Plan update process.
