<br />August 2GOO <br /> <br /> <br />The closest Ii- <br />brary to Center- <br />vllle is the Cen- <br />tennial Branch <br />Ubrary, located <br />at 100 CivIc <br />Heights Circle in <br />Circle Pines. <br />The library, small <br />in size. features a <br />collection of 50,000 titles; two inter- <br />net personal computen which are <br />available to use at no charge; and a <br />wide assortment of audio books. mu- <br />sic CO's and video's (OVO's are not <br />available at this time). A Self-Charge <br />Unit, a fairly new addition to Centen- <br />nial Branch. is available for patrons to <br />check out their own books etc. The <br />highly successfu~ usage of this unit. <br />awarded this Branch $1,000 from 3M <br />that was used to purchase new Audio <br />Books. <br />Chad Lubbers, Branch Ubrarian, <br />was extremely pleased with the high <br />partidpation in the Summer Reading <br />Program that was offered. (I 1/4 sticks) butter <br />or margarine melted <br />1/3 cup right com syrup <br />2 tsp. Vanilla <br />I cup packed bro.m sugar <br />I cup peanut butter M divided (smooth <br />or chunky) <br />I cup (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate <br />chips <br />I cup salted peanuts <br />Grease a 9x 13" pan. In a large <br />bowl, combine I st five ingredients and <br />1/4 cup of peanut butter. Mix well. <br />Pour mixture into prepared pan and <br />using waxed paper, plastic wrap or foil <br />to keep your hands from sticking, press <br />into an even layer. Bake 10 to 12 min- <br />utes. <br />Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips in <br />a srnaIt saucepan over very tow heat, <br />stirring occasionally, or in a microwave <br />along with occasional stirring. Stir in <br />remaining 3/4 cup of peanut butter and <br />peanuts. Allow baked layer to cool for <br />a few minutes, then pour and spread <br />chocolate chip/peanut butter mixture <br />on top. <br />Put pan in the I efi 1gerator to set. <br />Cut into srnaIt bars <br />and serve. <br />Each bar has 206 <br />calories. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />
