Dick, the original <br />owner, moved his company from <br />the Blaine area to Centerville In <br />1987. because of the convenient to- <br />cadon. <br />Hubers, a farm boy from S0uth- <br />ern MIn.'1eSOta came to the "cities" <br />and bepn the company with one <br />truck In 1962. Aft1!r many years of <br />hard work. he states that the re- <br />wards were worth his efforts and <br />dedic.atIon. Hubers believes that ea- <br />gle Trucking was kept alive during <br />the touah times because of pure de- <br />termination. His strong work ethics <br />which consist of hard work; h0n- <br />esty. and quality service along with <br />his belief In earning the respect of <br />those he does work for has been <br />the key't'to. his success. Hubers Is <br /> <br /> <br />proud of the employees he has hired over the years. several which have been with ea- <br />gle Trucking for several years. He has the philosophy that his employees work with <br />Eagle Trucking, rather than for the company. <br />Hubers has enjoyed being In CentervllIe and the relationship with neighboring busi- <br />nesses. residents and the City. He chaired CenterviIIe's EconomIc Development C0m- <br />mittee for three years and contributeclln numerous ways to the school and was the <br />recipient of the 1996 Business Person of the Year. <br />The Eagle Trucking property has been purchased by the City of CenterviIIe and <br />will house CentervlIIe's Public Works. serve as a Police Sub-station and provide addi- <br />tional meeting rooms. <br /> <br />
