After <br />the nominations are received from Centerville citizens and business owners, the <br />applications are distributed to nearly 30 judges who 'determine who the <br />recipients will be. This year the judges scores told die story of who will be the <br />1998 Citizen and Business Person of the Year. <br /> <br />1998 .CENTERVILLE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR - MARY CAPRA.. <br /> <br />Mary has worked in several ways for the betterment of the City ofCenterville~ <br />The time, dedication, and experience Mary has invested in the community <br />allows every resident to enjoy something about this community. Mary Capra <br />has been, and is, an integral part of the developed communlty we enjoy today. <br />Mary's commitment and devotion to the community spans out and touches upon <br />an array of contributions. She is directly involved in the following; co-chair to <br />the Minnesota Design Team, Economic Development Committee, Cub Scouts, <br />the City Historian, volunteer for St Genevieve's church and at the Centerville <br />mementary School. Mary's diligence, experience and kindness is well received <br />by so many that it is most appropriate that she is recognized by the City of <br />Centerville as the 1998 Citizen of the Year. The City ofCenterville and its <br />citizens would like to thank Mary in aqdition to recognizing her for her efforts. <br /> <br />1J98 BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR - TIM REBBINE <br /> <br />Tun has been an instrumental member of the Economic Development <br />Committee since 1990. He has been the chairman since 1993. Currently, TlDlis <br />a real-estate agent and Ieplesents Re-Max and Associates. TIm has coupled his <br />experience, time,. and efforts with several developers that have expressed inter- <br />est in Centerville. TIm is tWJicatecJ, reliable. and works hard without seekillg <br />recognition for himself. He promotes the City's visions and goals and is a true <br />professional. Several residents purchasedtbeir h~ in Centerville because <br />of the dedication and commitmentThnhas shown. TIm has many contacts through <br />his business, which have been very helpful with the ~going projects in the <br />City. His knowledge of the local businesses and the real estate marlret is also a <br />1remendous asset <br />The City of Centerville plans to recognize TIm 8nd Mary for being the <br />recipients of this presti,gious award during the ~ Business AppreCiation <br />DiJmer on May 11th. <br />
