Centerville was selected! The Minnesota Design <br />Team is scheduled to visit Centerville from Septem- <br />ber 24-27. The Design Team is a group of volunteer <br />architects, engineers and design professionals that visit selected <br />communities on an annual basis. The group works with the entire City <br />to help visually depict the community's vision for future growth and <br />redevelopment The focus oftbis scheduled visit is to create a common <br />theme for the redevelopment of the old downtown area of Centerville. <br />We would like to have everyone in the community. involved in this <br />event. We are still looking for a few host families for members of the <br />Design Team. Please contact Theresa Brenner (co-chair) 653-9172, <br />Mary Capra (oo-chair) 653-1732 or City Hall at 429-3232 for more <br />information. <br /> <br />Have You BeanI? <br /> <br /> <br />Centerville was recently featured in an article in the New York Thnes. <br />The article was written in regards to the unique concept of urban <br />planning used in developing the old Centerville Tree Farm into the <br />development currently know as Eagle Pass. The concept is known as <br />"coving". The concept incorporates various angles and varying <br />setbacks to create an unusual streetscape. Centerville is also going to <br />be featured on national cable television! The producers from Home <br />and Garden Television are flying in from Washington, D.C. to tape a <br />segment on the Eagle Pass development for their series Dreambuilders,,,/'" <br />The air date for this episode will be sometime in September or ~bei'. <br /> <br />9Aan4 "Pa!! !91um4 'IJoa!! !9Aan4 "Pa!!! <br /> <br />Thank You to the Anonymous Donor!
