It is Published in Coopera- <br />tion With the Circle Pines - Le~gton <br />Police Department <br /> <br />What is a TRIAD Program and what <br />does it do for the People of this Com- <br />munity? <br /> <br />This is our first attempt at reaching the retired and <br />senior citizens of our community, and any other per- <br />sons interested in becoming or remaining active in <br />your community. <br />Should you like the idea of this type News Letter, <br />please use the the format below and answer the ques- <br />---., tions then send it in along with your comments or sug- <br />gestions for infonnation you would like to see in fu- <br />ture editions. <br />Our current goal is to promote through the concept of <br />TRIAD, the development of a Life Line between the <br />retirees, the seniors, the community, AARP and all <br />law enforcement agencies in the area. International As- <br />sociation Chiefs of Police, (I.A.C.P.), and National <br />Association of Sheriffs, (N.S.A.). <br />Triad reduces crime against the elderly. <br />Triad is cooperation between law enforcement agen- <br />cies and senior citizens. <br />Triad strives to reduce criminal victimization of elder <br />persons. <br />Triad assesses the needs and concerns of elder citi- <br />zens. <br />Triad leads to a broad dialogue on safety and security <br />issues. <br />Triad is the link with elderly members of the commu- <br />nity. <br />Triad combines common sense and imagjnation. <br />Triad is simple - and it works. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />
