The Centennial Fire DIstrIct Is In need of <br />fire fighters who would be able to respond during the <br />daytime hours. Every day Meals on <br />Wheels volunteers deliver meals to homebound <br />people, many of whom would not be able to stay In <br />their own homes without this service. The Park Board would <br />like to tbaDk eveIyOne: Centerville Public Works for <br />snow removal, flooding of the rink and building <br />maintenance. Also, tbaDks to the attP.lldsmt$: Ryan, <br />Richard, Arron, Till and Melissa. They put in a lot of <br />hours keeping the rinks a safe and clean place to skate. <br />CenteJmiaI Youth Hockey Association for the roof over <br />the team benches and penalty box. And a special tbaDks <br />to the many citizens Who volunteered their time to help. <br /> <br />This summer the baIl fields will have a new coat of ag <br />lime on the in field, tbaDks to the donation from Chain of <br />Lakes LiU1e League. Our 1iU1e baIlplayers begin their <br />season April 1, with games scheduled Monday - <br />Thursday. Come out and cheer them on. Proceeds from <br />the concession stand at the park go to help the Chain of <br />Lakes LiU1e League. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />The new building in the <br />industrial park is donef f <br /> <br />Northern Forest Products <br />(NFP) opened its doors in <br />February for business. NFP <br />is a hardwood lumber <br />distribution yard canying <br />premium quality hardwoods. <br />NFP specia1i7.es in canying a diverse range of thickness' <br />and species: . red oak, Eastern cherry, mahogany, white <br />hard maple, poplar, walnut, white ash, aspen, and <br />basswood, to name a few. Distribution of hardwood <br />lumber typk:a1J.y c:onsists of selling less than semi-load <br />quantities of product to end users. The end users consist <br />of furniture manufacturers, cabinet shops, millwork and <br />store fixture compalliCs. <br /> <br />I <br />;, <br /> <br />NFP employs 10 people so far, 3 of whom are from the <br />Centervi11e I Hugo area. We would like to welcome the <br />NFP TEAM to Centervi11e and wish suex:ess in their <br />business adventure. <br /> <br />Listening Session <br /> <br />Congressman Luther is holding a listening session <br />on AprIl 20th at City Hall from 10:15 a.m. to 11 :15 <br />a.m. Everyone Is welcome to come and IIslen and <br />ask questions. <br /> <br />County Compost Sites Open For The <br />Season <br /> <br />Anoka County's two COmpost sites opened for the <br />season on April 1, 1996. The compost facilities are <br />operated free of charge as a service to county residents. <br />At the sites, citizens may discard their leaves, grass <br />clippings or garden wastes and ~ finished compost <br />when it is available. <br />The Anoka County Bunker Hills Regional Park <br />compost site is located at 13285 Hanson Boulevard in <br />Coon Rapids, one mile north of Highway 242. The Lino <br />Lakes compost site is at the Anoka County Rice Creek <br />Chain of Lakes Park, immediately south of 35W off <br />Anoka County Road 14 (Main Street). This year, hours <br />
