Administrator/Engineer's Report <br /> enterVille June 13, 2018 <br /> +:.I�r7.7771 <br /> ADMINISTRATION <br /> Administrator Continuing Education and Skills Development Plan <br /> On June 6, Teresa and I visited a number of businesses and spoke with their owners, <br /> including: Rumble Industries, Vermeesh Auto, Luther Towing, and all the businesses in <br /> the mini malls on Main Street. We asked for donations to the festival, encouraged them <br /> to participate in the parade and discussed the formation of the EDA. Finally, we asked <br /> what the city could do to help them as a business owner. We got lots of good feedback <br /> and made some great connections. We will definitely be reaching out to more business <br /> owners in a similar way, in the near future. <br /> Social Media Presence <br /> Teresa is researching some services to archive our social media posts to be compliant <br /> with data practices act requests. We will bring that information forward at an upcoming <br /> meeting. <br /> Staff Meetings <br /> Our monthly staff meeting is scheduled for June 14tH <br /> Building Permits <br /> A steady flow of permits continues to come in around the one year anniversary of the <br /> storm. <br /> Audit <br /> Our auditing firm of Abdo, Eick& Meyers present the audit to Council at this meeting. <br /> Finance Director Position <br /> At the time of this report, interviews have been scheduled with four candidates for the <br /> Finance Director position. <br /> 2019 Budget Process <br /> Typically, the city kicks off its budget process in June, for the upcoming year. On this <br /> council agenda is a proposal from Abdo, Eick and Meyers for assisting the city with this <br /> process. <br /> STORMWATER/WETLAND <br /> Local Water Plan <br /> We have now received comments from Rice Creek Watershed District and Met Council, <br /> on our draft of the Local Water Plan.
