The City Council held <br />the Truth in Taxation Hearing at the Centervil1e City Hall on <br />December 3, 1992 to consider finalization of the 1993 budget and <br />the 1993 levy certification to Anoka County. <br /> <br />In September, the City Council certified a preUlinary tax <br />levy to Anoka County, which resulted in the proposed tax <br />statement you received. At the Truth in Taxation Hearing <br />the City Council li11 certify the final levy to Anoka County <br />in an allount equal to or less than the preliminary amount <br />certified in September. In other ~ords, it is possible that <br />the tax estimate on your proposed statement will remain as <br />shown or decrease, by law the amount can not increase. <br /> <br />mE DKS LACS - (Festival of the Lakes) was held on JlIly 31, 1992 <br />through August 2, 1992. <br /> <br />Events included: pig roast, carnival rides, pony <br />rides,concessions, softball tournaments, volleyball, <br />strolling linstrels, fishing contest, dance, fireworks, <br />bungeejUlping, jet skls, horseshoe tournament and City <br />Hall open house. <br /> <br />Your proposed tax statellent should indicate a decrease in <br />overall taxes, unless your property has experienced an <br />increase in lIarket value within the last twelve months. <br /> <br />The pig roast was delicious! !be concession stands provided <br />a variety for all.
