The District seeks to have committee members <br />representing all areas of the watershed. <br /> <br />Crilinal activity is on the increase allost everywhere, and <br />Centerville is no exception. We've noted several thefts frol <br />lotor vehicles during last sUller and into the fall. People are <br />entering unlocked cars, looking for valuables and in lany cases, <br />they are finding thei. Although ve have lade arrests in the <br />iajority of these incidents, there is no way to cOlpensate <br />sOleane frol having to spend a great deal of tile and effort <br />having vehicles repaired, cancelling credit cards, and sililar. <br />Please folks, never leave your car outside, especially with <br />wallets, checkbooks and sililar in the glovebox. If you lust <br />leave your vehicle outside, park it in a well lit area, relove <br />itels of value, and lock it up!! <br /> <br />Watershed District Advisory Committees are authorized by state <br />law to advise and assist the Board of Manager upon .all matters <br />affecting the interests of the District and to make <br />recommendations to the Manageres upon all contemplated projects <br />and works or improvement in the District. <br /> <br />Advisory Committee members need not be experts in water <br />management or governmental affairss. However. they should have <br />and interest in water-related topics such as preservation of <br />wetlands, regulation of development in environmentally sensitive <br />areas, and studies and improvements relating to the water quality <br />of area lakes and streams. <br /> <br />Going on a winter vacation? COPIES KAY BE <br />OBTAINED AT A COST OF $0.25 PER PAGE. <br /> <br />I al very please that the Rice Creek Trail Association taught a <br />snowlobile safety class in Centerville this year at our request. <br />Although we didn't have a large nUlber of Centerville folks at <br />that particular class there were quite a few present at the <br />classes beld at the other schools. Just a relinder for the folks <br />in Centerville that several areas are off lilits to snowlobiles. <br />
