Crilinal activity is on the increase allost everywhere, and Centerville is no exception. We've noted several thefts frol lotor vehicles during last sUller and into the fall. People are entering unlocked cars, looking for valuables and in lany cases, they are finding thei. Although ve have lade arrests in the iajority of these incidents, there is no way to cOlpensate sOleane frol having to spend a great deal of tile and effort having vehicles repaired, cancelling credit cards, and sililar. Please folks, never leave your car outside, especially with wallets, checkbooks and sililar in the glovebox. If you lust leave your vehicle outside, park it in a well lit area, relove itels of value, and lock it up!! Watershed District Advisory Committees are authorized by state law to advise and assist the Board of Manager upon .all matters affecting the interests of the District and to make recommendations to the Manageres upon all contemplated projects and works or improvement in the District. Advisory Committee members need not be experts in water management or governmental affairss. However. they should have and interest in water-related topics such as preservation of wetlands, regulation of development in environmentally sensitive areas, and studies and improvements relating to the water quality of area lakes and streams. We have only had ORK resident express an interest in this quality safety prograJ thus far. Although we didn't have a large nUlber of Centerville folks at that particular class there were quite a few present at the classes beld at the other schools. Just a relinder for the folks in Centerville that several areas are off lilits to snowlobiles.
