However, Anoka County Humane Societ~ will not respond to direct calls from residents and will not pick up any animal unless it is restrained. If you are having a problem with a stray dog that can not be resolved with the owner, please contain the animal if possible (for example in your garage).an4 then call City Hall or the Lino Lakes Police Department. Hours of pick up are: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10:00&.12. until 2:00 P.m~ on Saturday and Sunday. If your dog has been picked up by the Anoka County Humane Society you will be responsible for pick up, boarding, and licensing fees. NO PARKING - Parking is not allowed on City Streets between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Violators will be ticketed. CURBSIDE RECYCLING Glass bottles, aluminum, tin cans, and newspapers are items which should be recycled. The pick up is the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Call Lake Sanitation at 429-7763 to sign up for curbside recycling and to obtain information on how to prepare the recyclables for pick up. All residents who are currently active in the curbside recycling program are commended for their participation. BURNING PERMITS - Permits are required. The permits are issued by the Centennial Fire Department. Applications are available at City Hall. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN - Northwest Associated Consultants has been hired as the Planning Consultant to assist the City in the Centerville Economic Development Plan which will update the Centerville Comprehensive Plan. The plan is scheduled to be complete the end of September. This project is being paid for with Community Development Grant Fund monies through Anoka County.
