However, <br />Anoka County Humane Societ~ will not respond to direct calls from <br />residents and will not pick up any animal unless it is <br />restrained. If you are having a problem with a stray dog that <br />can not be resolved with the owner, please contain the animal if <br />possible (for example in your garage).an4 then call City Hall or <br />the Lino Lakes Police Department. Hours of pick up are: 9:00 <br />a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 10:00&.12. <br />until 2:00 P.m~ on Saturday and Sunday. <br />If your dog has been picked up by the Anoka County Humane <br />Society you will be responsible for pick up, boarding, and <br />licensing fees. <br /> <br />NO PARKING - Parking is not allowed on City Streets between the <br />hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Violators will be ticketed. <br /> <br />CURBSIDE RECYCLING Glass bottles, aluminum, tin cans, and <br />newspapers are items which should be recycled. The pick up is <br />the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Call Lake <br />Sanitation at 429-7763 to sign up for curbside recycling and to <br />obtain information on how to prepare the recyclables for pick up. <br />All residents who are currently active in the curbside <br />recycling program are commended for their participation. <br /> <br />BURNING PERMITS - Permits are required. The permits are issued <br />by the Centennial Fire Department. Applications are available at <br />City Hall. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN - Northwest Associated Consultants has <br />been hired as the Planning Consultant to assist the City in the <br />Centerville Economic Development Plan which will update the <br />Centerville Comprehensive Plan. The plan is scheduled to be <br />complete the end of September. This project is being paid for <br />with Community Development Grant Fund monies through Anoka <br />County. The Planner will also assist the City with new <br />developments that approach the City, at the expense of the <br />developer. <br /> <br />C,NTENNIAL FIRE DEPARTMENT COMMISSIONER - A 15 month <br />open. Past fire fighter experience not required. <br />interested in protective services please submit <br />interest to City Hall by Septemb.er 15, 1988. Please <br />Hall for more information. <br /> <br />FIREFIGHTERS Become involved i.n your community and help <br />provide for the safety and welfare of your family and neighbors. <br />Firefighters are needed.
