EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this leday of_T Qt <br /> U............. 2018, by and between <br /> the City of Centerville, to of Minnesota,a municipal corporation,hereinafter called"Employer <br /> as party of the first part,and hereinafter called"Employee",as party <br /> of the second part,both of whom understand as follows: <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, Employer desires to employ the services of said Employee as Part-time Finance <br /> Director of the City of Centerville; and <br /> WHEREAS,it is the desire of the City Council,hereinafter called"Council"to estdblish certain <br /> conditions of employment; and <br /> WHEREAS,Employee desires to accept employment as Part-time Finance Director of said City. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,in consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained,the parties <br /> agree as follows: <br /> Section 1.Duties <br /> Subject to the it on working hours,Employer hereby agrees to employ Employee as Part-time <br /> Finance Director of Centerville to perform the functions and duties specified in the attached <br /> Exhibit A, job description and to perform other legally permissible and proper duties and <br /> functions as the City Administrator shall from time to time assign. <br /> Section 2.Term <br /> ANothing in this agreemenis l revent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of the <br /> Council to terminate the services of Employee at any time. Employee agrees to serve in the <br /> employ of Employer on an"at will"basis. <br /> B. Nothing in this agreement shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of the <br /> Employee to resign at any time from his position with Employer. <br /> Section 3. Compensation <br /> Employer agrees to pay Employee for his services rendered at er hour to be paid at <br /> the same time as other employees of the Employer are paid.No benefits of any kind are available <br /> to this part-time position except for employer matching of PERA,FICA and Medicare. <br /> Section 4.Hours of Work <br /> It is expected that this Employee will work an average of 20 hours per week subject to the <br /> discretion of the City Administrator. It is further understood that this employee may or some <br /> of the hours remotely from home or another location, subject to approval of the City <br /> Administrator. At least two days a week, on average, the Employee, must be present in the <br /> office. <br /> 24 <br />
