CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION J`' o Agenda Item# Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: Administration July 11, 2018 TITLE OF ISSUE: Bay View Villas BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Action on the Preliminary Plat of Bay View Villas and associated zoning applications was tabled at the last meeting to allow for clarification and further discussion on several items, especially related to the existing residents along LaValle Drive. The developer, Mr. DeFoe, and residents on LaValle Drive met at City Hall last week and have reached a common understanding. With this information and agreement, we have placed the item on the Council's agenda again, for potential action. Attached is the Planner's memo to the P&Z Commission outlining the four zoning applications and presenting findings of facts. Also attached are a sketch and detailed explanation of the LaValle Drive access, an ordinance, which corresponds to the requested rezoning and the Conditional Use Permit for a PUD. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: Some costs to city for utility stubs (TBD). Funding from the water& sewer funds, recovered through future fees. REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to approve Preliminary Plat, Comp Plan Amendment, Conditional Use Permit for a Planned Unit Development, and Rezoning for Bay View Villas all conditioned on one another and the recording of a Final Plat. The motion is also adopts the findings of fact and supports the enforcement of conditions as outlined in the attached planning memorandum.
