Statz, City Administrator/City Engineer <br /> From: Bruce DeJong, Finance Director <br /> Item: 2019 Budget Adoption Timeline <br /> In keeping with prior year practice, I am suggesting that we should hold two or three <br /> budget work sessions prior to adoption of the preliminary budget and property tax levy. <br /> The following schedule is proposed for meetings: <br /> July 25 Work Session—Preliminary General Fund Budget Review <br /> August 22 Work Session—General Fund Budget Review <br /> September 12 Special Work Session—General Fund Budget Review <br /> September 26 Work Session—Capital Improvement Fund Review <br /> Regular Meeting—Preliminary Budget and Tax Levy Adoption <br /> October 24 Work Session—Enterprise Fund Review <br /> November 14 Special Work Session—Final Budget Review <br /> November 28 Regular Meeting—Final Budget and Tax Levy Adoption <br /> Staff is happy to discuss budget issues and answer questions at any time with council, <br /> property owners and residents. We intend to have a full General Fund budget with a <br /> preliminary tax levy recommendation at the August 22 Work Session.
