Vacancy <br /> A vacancy is created in the membership of an EDA when a City Council member of the EDA <br /> ends council membership. A vacancy for this or another reason must be filled for the balance of <br /> the unexpired term, in the manner in which the original appointment was made. The City <br /> Council may set the term of the commissioners who are members of the City Council to coincide <br /> with their term of office as members of the City Council. <br /> Committees <br /> The EDA Board of Commissioners is responsible for the decision making process for the EDA, <br /> many Cities have found it helpful to develop a committee structure to assist in reaching the <br /> economic development goals of the community on or ongoing or ad hoc depending on upon the <br /> workload and particular issues that may arise. Possible committees could include: <br /> Local 'city and Education Committee <br /> Sites and Buildings Committee <br /> Business Retention and Expansion ) <br /> Marketing Committee <br /> 8 <br />
