[Year] <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular or special meeting of the City Council <br /> of the City of [NameofCity], Minnesota, was held at the [NameofCity] City Hall on <br /> , [Year], commencing at <br /> The following members of the Council were present: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> CouncilCouncilmember introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br /> adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF <br /> ESTABLISHING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY <br /> IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of[NameofCity], <br /> Minnesota, as follows: <br /> I Recitals. <br /> (a) The City is authorized pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.090 <br /> through 469.1082, to establish an Economic Development Authority for the City. <br /> (b) The Council desires to initiate the process for considering the <br /> establishment of an Economic Development Authority. <br /> 2. Public Hearin. The Council shall hold a public hearing on the question of <br /> establishing for the City an Economic Development Authority and the City Clerk is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to cause notice of that public hearing, substantially in the form attached <br /> to and made a part of this Resolution, to be published in the City's official newspaper once a <br /> week for tura consecutive weeks prior to the scheduled public hearing date, with the first <br /> publication occurring no earlier than 30 days prior to the public hearing date. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br /> Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br /> following voted in favor thereof- <br /> 34 <br />
