Staff recommends including the new positions in the preliminary budget and tax levy. <br /> This provides the most flexibility as we continue looking at the budget prior to final <br /> adoption in November or December. The final levy could be reduced, but may not be <br /> increased from the preliminary amount certified. <br /> Staff is happy to discuss budget issues and answer questions at any time with council, <br /> property owners, and residents. <br /> If there are no further questions after this discussion, the September 26 regular meeting <br /> will have a council action item with a resolution for formal adoption of the preliminary <br /> budget and tax levy as presented. <br /> Attachment: General Fund Budget Spreadsheet <br /> 15 <br />
