® Sta ntec 2335 Highway 36 West,St.Paul MN 55113-3819
December 7,2018
File: 193804178
Attention: Mr.Mark Statz,City Administrator
City of Centerville
1880 Main Street
Centerville, MN 55038
Dear Mr. Statz,
Reference: Centerville City Hall/Fire Station HVAC & Electrical Assessment
Thank you for the opportunity to submit this proposal to provide professional engineers services.
Per our phone conversation, we understand that the City desires a review of the HVAC system in the City
Hall/Fire Station, which is not performing in the manner expected. The City also would like a review of the
existing electrical system, including lighting, in the building and the Pump House.
Our proposed scope is as follows:
1. Schedule a site visit to compare existing conditions and equipment to what is shown on the
construction documents and to assess the condition of existing mechanical and electrical
equipment.
2. Meet with the staff to understand their assessment of the building HVAC system operation and
discuss any known HVAC or electrical issues.
3. Investigate the operation of the HVAC system serving the Council Chambers.
4. Prepare a report to include:
a. Document plans versus actual conditions/equipment.
b. Physical condition of equipment and anticipated life remaining.
c. Recommendations to improve comfort using existing equipment.
d. Discuss possible options to upgrade the HVAC and electrical system as part of the planned
renovations to the building.
5. Meet with staff on site to review report and recommendation.
6. Provide follow-on services for detailed design to implement HVAC upgrades as selected by the
City.
75
