City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 10, 2006 <br />no one called Lino and the feedback was turned off and there were calls with no water. <br />He then said that there will be a procedure put in place to ensure that the interconnect <br />with Lino is open and available for issues like this in the future. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Mr. Shudy is proposing to connect to City water <br />and was going to directionally drill to do so but the question is whether the City should <br />upsize it to 8 inch to service the industrial area of Rehbein develops. He then estimates <br />an additional cost of $4,000 to $5,000 for extra pipe size and 350 feet of all the cost for a <br />total of $12,000 to $15,000 to get it to the east city limit line and provide a hydrant. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra said she would like to do the upsizing and put the hydrant at Shudy’s <br />property and get it to the end of the lot line and have Rehbein connect when needed. <br /> <br />2. Business Person Update <br /> <br /> Nothing to report. <br /> <br /> 3. City Bonding <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Mr. Meyer is looking at bonds for Hunter’s Crossing and the <br />backage road and she had asked for clarification on whether cities can do their own <br />bonding and she wants to verify with Juran and Moody because she is not comfortable <br />with the City doing it on its own and wants to verify that a savings in the short term does <br />not affect the City negatively in the long term. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff needs additional time to research and <br />properly answer the questions and concerns. <br /> <br />4. Business Picnic <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated the City can use the Parish Community Center at St. <br />Genevieve for the business picnic. He then asked for Staff and Council to divide the <br />tasks involved in planning the event. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar to adjourn <br />the May 10, 2006 City Council Meeting at 8:55 p.m. All in favor.
