STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> Resolution # 19- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF SPONSORSHIP OF THE ATTACHED COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS,the City has identified a need to connect all properties in the City to municipal water; and <br /> WHEREAS, certain properties are owned by persons for which the cost to connect would be a significant <br /> burden and for some may be unaffordable; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant funds may be available to provide financial assistance to <br /> connect homes of eligible families to city water; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Centerville, County of Anoka, <br /> State of Minnesota, that the City of Centerville acts as the legal sponsor for project(s) contained in the <br /> Anoka County Community Development Block Grant Application, attached hereto, to be submitted on <br /> or before January 11, 2019; and <br /> 1) City staff is authorized to submit the application and any additional supporting information and data <br /> necessary; and <br /> 2) That the City of Centerville has the legal authority to apply for financial assistance and the institutional, <br /> managerial, and financial capacity to ensure adequate construction, operation, maintenance and <br /> replacement of the proposed project for its design life; and <br /> 3) That the City of Centerville has not incurred any costs and has not entered into any written agreements <br /> to purchase property; and <br /> 4) That the City of Centerville has not violated any Federal, State, or local laws pertaining to fraud, <br /> bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusions, conflict of interest or other unlawful or corrupt practice; and <br /> 5) That upon approval of its application by Anoka County, the City of Centerville may enter into an <br /> agreement with the Anoka County for the above-referenced project(s) and that the City of Centerville <br /> certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in all contract agreements. <br /> Passed and Adopted by the City of Centerville this 9th day of January, 2019. <br /> Mayor, Jeff Paar <br /> City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br /> 82 <br />
