City of Centerville <br /> EDA Meeting Minutes <br /> October 17,2018 <br /> organization and engaged in conversation about possibilities for the site, and the greater <br /> downtown and lakefront area. <br /> There was extensive discussion regarding the look of row homes, French quarter <br /> architecture, price points, townhome markets and the like. <br /> High Point Realty showed some of their recent projects, most of which were townhome <br /> style units. Their preference for the site was the row-home concept, but they were <br /> willing to look at condo or apartment buildings to add density and had done some <br /> projects with a mix of units on them before. <br /> The commission was very pleased with the energy and passion for their work that the <br /> High Point team demonstrated and encouraged them to dig a little deeper into the <br /> numbers to see if the site could work for them. <br /> Being that this was a concept plan presentation, there was no official action taken by the <br /> board. <br /> 2. Resolution #EDA 18-07—Call for Special Meeting of the EDA, City Council and the <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission on October 24, 2018 at 7:00 PM or Immediately <br /> Following the Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Administrator Statz explained that, with the sudden interest in downtown, he wanted to get all of <br /> the involved decision making bodies together for a work session. <br /> Motion by Commission Member Weatherhead, seconded by Commission Member Paar to <br /> Adopt Resolution #EDA 18-07. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 3. Resolution #EDA 18-08 -Accept the Resignation of Mr. Gary Spanier <br /> Administrator Statz stated that Commission Member Spanier had contacted him via phone to let <br /> him know that he did not feel he could continue on the commission, given his current schedule <br /> and business commitments. <br /> Motion by Commission Member Weatherhead, seconded by Commission Member Paar to <br /> Adopt Resolution #EDA 18-08. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commission Member Paar, seconded by Commission Member Weatherhead to <br /> Adiourn the EDA meeting of October 17, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. All in favor.
