City of Centerville <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> December 4,2018 <br /> Administrator Statz outlined the changes proposed to the density ranges for Medium and <br /> Low Density designations. The proposed changes were to go back to the ranges proposed <br /> in the planning memo from a month ago. These changes are still in line with more realistic <br /> projections for the number of new homes at full build-out. <br /> Mr. Eric Maass, WSB, was on hand for any questions. The commission was on board with <br /> the changes and did not have any questions for Mr. Maass. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Fehrenbacher, seconded by Commissioner Haiden to <br /> recommend to Council the presented Final Draft Comprehensive Plan as submitted. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Code Amendment Discussion <br /> a. Chapter XX—Drone Ordinance <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the North Metro Telecommunication Commission consulted <br /> with their attorney who drafted the presented sample drone ordinance. <br /> Lengthy discussion ensued regarding regulations of these devices, permitting, licensing, <br /> what other city's policies were available and whether the League of MN Cities had a <br /> sample ordinance. <br /> The Commission took no action on this item and directed staff to bring back information as <br /> requested. <br /> 2. Set Date for January Regular Meeting due to the New Year's Day Holiday <br /> a. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 Suggested <br /> Administrator Statz stated that New Years' fell on their regularly schedules meeting date <br /> and January 8, 2019 was suggested. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Fehrenbacher, seconded by Commissioner Olson to Re- <br /> schedule the Commission's Meeting for Tuesday, January 8, 2019 commencing at <br /> 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 3. Set Date for Joint P & Z/EDA Meeting for Downtown, Block 7 Presentations <br /> a. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 Suggested <br /> Administrator Statz stated that the EDA will be meeting on January 16, 2019 and it may be <br /> desired to make this meeting a Joint Session to discuss the Downtown, Block 7 issues. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Fehrenbacher, seconded by Commissioner Olson to <br /> Schedule the EDA Meeting of January 16, 2019 as a Joint Work Session with the P & <br /> Z Commission.
