March 6, 2019 <br /> TITLE OF ISSUE: <br /> Flags for 5K/8K, Kids Fun Run &Paddle des Lacs <br /> BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> Race Coordinator Mr. Pat Branch has suggested that the Committee/City purchase flags that represent all facets <br /> of our armed forces. He has suggested that these flags be placed at the finish line to the race and could be <br /> utilized for other events during Fete des Lacs such as Paddle des Lacs at Trailside Park. This year's theme is <br /> "Tribute to the Troops". <br /> Attached you will find an estimate of costs associated with the purchases. I was unsure whether you desired to <br /> include all facets of our armed forces or just the major five (5). I did find a flag that contained Army, Navy, <br /> Coast Guard, Marines & Air Force for $39.95. Maybe two (2) of these and two (2) American flags. I also <br /> found a Blue Star Salute Flag for those that are serving.
