COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> Resolution # 19-49 <br /> A21 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WORKERS COMPENSATION COVERAGE <br /> FOR ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE,MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has investigated the cost and benefits of providing workers compensation <br /> coverage to elected and appointed officials; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Council deten-nines that elected and appointed officials have some risk of injury while acting <br /> on behalf of the City which could leave an official unable to work at his/her regular job,thus putting them at <br /> serious financial peril, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Centerville that: <br /> 1. Pursuant to Minnesota Workers Compensation Act,Minnesota Statutes 176.011, subd. 9, clause 6 the <br /> following officers of the City of Centerville, elected or appointed are hereby included in the City's <br /> workers compensation coverage: <br /> The Mayor and Council Members <br /> • Members of Parks&Recreation Committee <br /> Members of the Planning&Zoning Commission <br /> Members of the Economic Development Authority <br /> 2.
