City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> March 27,2019 <br /> Administrator Statz reviewed the proposed 2019 City Goals along with providing a status of the <br /> 2018 City Goals either completed or ongoing. Mayor Paar asked for input from all that were <br /> present. Administrator Statz would incorporate comments received. <br /> III. ADJOURNMENT <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> I. ROLL CALL <br /> Present were Mayor Jeff Paar, Council Members D. Love, Russ Koski, Michelle Lakso and Matt <br /> Montain. Staff present were: Administrator Statz and City Attorney Glaser. <br /> II. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Paar called the regularly scheduled City Council meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> 111. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> IV. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve the <br /> Agenda as noted. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> V. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> 1. None. <br /> VI. PUBLIC HEARING <br /> 1. Wellhead Protection Plan, Mark Janovec, Senior Scientist—Stantec <br /> City Administrator Statz stated that this evening's meeting is a required informational meeting <br /> and that Mr. Mark Janovec who is a professional geologist will be providing information <br /> regarding Part I of II for the Wellhead Protection Plan. He stated that Part H of the Plan will be <br /> due in 2020. <br /> Mayor Paar opened the meeting for public input regarding this item. <br /> Mr. Janovec stated that the Wellhead Protection Plan allows suppliers to protect the groundwater <br /> resources that supply drinking water to the community's well(s) and they do this through <br /> identifying a capture zone of wells and identify any potential sources of contamination that may <br /> lie within that same zone. The plan is established to assist in reduction of risks of contamination <br /> impacting the aquifer(s). He stated that the plan is updated every 10 years and he reviewed the <br /> supplied Figure 3 showing the Wellhead Protection Area (WHPA) and Drinking Water Supply <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br />
