P(J)((651) 429-8629 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF ANOKA CITY OF CENTERVILLE RESOLUDON #106- 833 A RESOLUTION ACCEPfING BIDS AND AWARDING PROJECT:FOR IMPROVEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH BACKAGE ROAD AND 21ST AVENUE UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement of 21 st Avenue and Backage Road Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contrador Bid Amount BW'SChville Construction, Inc. Northdale Construction Company, Inc. Three Rivers Construction, Inc. Dresel Contracting, Inc. $1,118,251.90 $1,249,755.70 $1,257,498.50 $1,398,643.95 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Burschville Construction, Inc. of Hanover, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. AND WHEREAS, the city bas initiated a condemnation proceeding of certain easements necessary for construction of the project, and a decision by the Anoka County District Court is imminent and necessary before a contract can be entered into by the city. NOW THERE:FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVDLEt MINNESOTA: 1. Upon approval of the condemnation by the Anoka County District Court, the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with BW'SChville Construction in the name of the City of Centerville for the aforementioned improvement according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the Council and on file with the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful. bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
