CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Paar called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> IL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. Mayor Paar stated <br /> that Mr. Chad Wagner, 6781 Beaver Pond Way requested to speak to Council regarding public <br /> safety. Mayor Paar added him to IV. Appointments/Presentations, Item 42. Administrator Statz <br /> requested that Item 47 be removed from the agenda. <br /> Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve the <br /> Presented Agenda with the Addition of Mr. Chad Wagner. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> IV. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> 1. Chief James Coan, Centennial Lakes Police Department—Annual Presentation <br /> Chief James Coan introduced himself to Council and reviewed the presented 2018 Annual <br /> Report. He gave a brief overview of the department, personnel, calls, lifesaving awards, <br /> statistics of crimes, citations and etc. He thanked the Council for the strong support that the <br /> department has received in the past and hopes that it continues. <br /> Council Member Lakso stated that she very much appreciates that the officers are very well <br /> trained, that Staff and Council are kept abreast of critical events that take place so that if social <br /> media alerts are needed the information can be forwarded to the public. She also thanked the <br /> Chief for the department's belief in the community by supporting events providing an <br /> opportunity to interact with the public. <br /> Council Member Love stated that he is very proud of the department, leadership, dedication and <br /> community support that shows care for the community and instills appropriate interaction <br /> between the public and police officers. Council Member Koski concurred and also thanked the <br /> firefighters and military personnel who work holidays and evenings when others would not <br /> keeping the community safe and a great place to live. Council Member Montain also concurred. <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br />
