He then said that the initial estimates were higher than costs bid and the <br />estimated assessments were 41% of the estimated costs so when the bids and costs <br />resolved came in lower 41% was used rather than look at what the City should pay 41 % <br />of total project costs so less money was assessed than what should have been. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff will look into funding the remainder <br />noting that over the life of the bond, the short fkll is $160,000 and Staft'will come back <br />with recommendations for funding it. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that every year the grass dies along the edge of the <br />sidewalk and Staff reseeds it. He then said that Staff would like Council to consider a <br />row of sod on each side of the sidewalk to clean up the bare spot at a cost of $695. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated this will happen every year from salt and plowing and she would <br />rather landscape the side against the building and wait on the other side. <br /> <br />Council agreed to wait. <br /> <br />2.
