<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ANOKA COUNlY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ORDINANCE#_ <br />SECOND SERIES <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CENTERVILLE CI1Y CODE <br />BY AMENDING SECfION 30.02 RELATING TO MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br /> <br />THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Code Section 30.02 shall be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />30.02 MAYOR AND COUNCIL OBLIGATIONS, SALARY OF MAYOR & <br />COUNCB.JSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS TO BE <br />CONSIDERED FOR CITY EMPLOYMENT <br /> <br />(A) Obligation to attend meetings. It is the obligation of each elected official to attend <br />regular and special meetings and; the Council may compel the attendance of <br />members. There will be no penalty for members missing up to three (3) regular or <br />special meetings per year; thereafter a missed meeting will result in the loss of that <br />meetings pay. <br />(B) Salary of Mayor. The salary for the Mayor is hereby established at $400.00 per <br />month plus an additional $25.00 for each Council meeting and workshop attended. <br />(Effective date 1/1/2007) <br />(C) Salary of Council members. The salary for Council Members is hereby established at <br />$325.00 per month plus $25.00 for any additional Council meeting(s) and <br />workshop(s) attended. (Effective date 1/1/2007) <br />(D) Eligibility for employment. An incumbent mayor or council member may not be <br />considered for regular employment with the City unless such person has resigned <br />from such elected office before making application for employment. A former <br />Mayor or Council Member may not be considered for the positions of Administrator~ <br />Finance Director or Public Works Director unless at least 24 months has elapsed <br />since holding such elected office. <br /> <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
