City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 10, 2019 <br /> <br />Council Member Love requested that a clarification be made to page 5 relating to the League of <br />MN Cities retreats as being “one” rather than “several”. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve the <br />June 12, 2019 City Council Meeting Minutes as Amended. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. June 26, 2019 City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Paar provided Council Members with an opportunity for review, additions or modifications. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Love to Approve the <br />June 26, 2019 City Council Meeting Minutes as Submitted. <br /> <br />Council Member Love requested that “donnors” be modified to “donors” on page 4. <br /> <br />Council Member Montain Accepted the Amendment and Council Member Love Concurred. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. Listing Agreement – Titus Commercial Real Estate (Mike Brass) – 7073 <br />Centerville Road <br /> <br />Mayor Paar provided an opportunity for Council to add or remove any item(s) to the consent <br />agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Montain, seconded by Council Member Lakso to Approve the <br />Consent Agenda as Submitted. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Downtown Street & Utility Improvements – Project Schedule <br /> <br />City Administrator Statz at the last meeting he presented a project schedule, he has had time to <br />reflect on same and reviewed the new schedule delaying the project to 2020 rather than late 2019. <br />He stated that there were numerous factors that prompt the second schedule one (1) being the <br />bidding climate of one (1) or two (2) bidders, higher than normal bids and a labor shortage. He <br />also discussed assessments associated with the project being more difficult than a normal project <br />due to 4 classes of property involved (residential, institutional, vacant and commercial). He stated <br />that consideration needs to be given for fairness in assessments.
