STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION #19-0.43 <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING <br />HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted June 26, 2019 (Res. #19- <br />018), a report has been prepared by Stantec with reference to the proposed Downtown <br />Street & Utility Reconstruction Project including the improvement of Centerville Road <br />north of Main Street, Sorel Street west to its beginning/end and east to it beginning/end, <br />Progress Road from Main Street to Heritage Street, Goiffon Road from Sorel Street to <br />Heritage Street and Heritage Street east from Centerville Road to its beginning/end. <br />Improvements to these roads will consist of full reconstruction with the addition of storm <br />sewer and water main. This report was received by the Council on August 14, 2019,. <br />WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as <br />proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the <br />improvement as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate <br />individual assessments for affected parcels. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in <br />accordance with the report and the assessment of benefitting <br />property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total <br />cost of the improvement of $2,421,407. <br />2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on <br />the I Ph day of September, 2019 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City Hall at 6:30 p.m. and the Clerk shall give mailed and <br />published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by <br />law. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City of Centerville this 14t' day of August, 2019 <br />Jeff Paar, Mayor <br />Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
