CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST <br />FOR COMMITTEE ACTION <br />77, <br />1tervi e <br />Agenda Item # <br />Department: <br />Requested Meeting Date: <br />V.3 <br />Parks <br />September 4, 2019 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Lights for Sledding Hill <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Staff has obtained several quotes for running electrical to the sledding hill and installing a pole and light at that <br />location. The cost of that improvement is approximately $14,000. <br />Staff is recommending that the option of adding a light to the back of the southernmost light standard for the <br />hockey rink not be pursued because of light pollution to the neighboring homes to the south. <br />If the committee wishes to pursue installing a pole and light near the hill, the cost should come from the Park <br />Dedication fund.
