City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes October 23,2019 ABSENT:Council Member Michelle Lakso STAFF:City Administrator Mark Statz City Attorney Glaser II.PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE III.APPROVAL OF AGENDA Mayor Paarprovided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. Mayor Paar added Mr. Jeff Reinert, Candidate for Anoka County Commissioner District 6 Under Item IV., #1. Motion by Council MemberLove, seconded by Council MemberKoskito Approve the Agenda with the Above Stated Modifications.All in favor. Motion carried. IV.APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS 1.Mr. Jeff Reinert, Anoka County Commissioner, District 6 Candidate Mr. Reinertintroduced himself to Council and stated that he resides in the City of Lino Lakes and has lived there for 44 years. He provided Council will some family background, work ethic and time in office. He stated that he felt that he could provide the County with his expertise in financial savings regarding public safety and employee benefits. Council Member Love questioned that Mr. Reinert had many ideas for areas that he thought could be improvedupon, but the term is from January, 2020 to December, 2020, and how quickly did he believe he could implement his ideas and complete an assessment of all operations of the County. Mr. Reinert stated that he has been in business for 35 years and believes that he would need to excite others to gain their involvement for changes also. Mr. Reinert stated that if individuals desired additional information they could contact him directly. He stated that he has received the support of several Council Members in Centerville and thanked the Council for their time. Mayor Paar thanked Mr. Reinhertfor his time. Mayor Paar stated that thePrimary Election for the Anoka County Commissioner District municipal seats on the ballot.
