City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 23,2019 <br />c.Koski <br />i.Planning & Zoning CommissionCouncilMember Koskistated that <br />the next meeting is scheduled for November 12, 2019 due to elections. <br />ii.Fire Steering CommitteeCouncil Member Koski stated that the <br />meeting was held onOctober 17with the Committee approving an <br />increase in retirement pay from $5,000 to 5,500annually. He stated that <br />the Relief Fund is healthy. He also stated that the increase is primarily <br />due to minimalhourly wage. He reported that firefighters need to be <br />vested in the program and the amount of retirement benefits is based on <br />years of service. <br />d.Montain <br />i.North Metro Telecommunications CommissionCouncil Member <br />Montain reported that the regularly scheduled meeting was cancelled. <br />ii.Anoka Fire Protection BoardCouncil Member Montain reported <br />that this meeting would be held the following evening. <br />e.PaarStated thatthe Primary Election would be held on Tuesday, November <br />8:00 p.m. that <br />that this is a primary only for the Anoka County Commissioner District 6 <br />position vacated by Ms. Rhonda Sivarajah. <br />i.Police Governing Board No report givendue to meeting to be held <br />on November 18, 2019. <br />ii.Other Mayoral Reports Mayor Paar also reported that November 11, <br />2019 was Veterans Day and he desired to thank those that have server <br />or are serving our Country. <br />He also reported that approximately two (2) weeks prior he taped the <br />site and YouTube. <br />be at the end of month at the Local Government Officials meeting. <br />nd <br />He also reported that the 2Annual Stem Event (Cub Scout Pack <br />432/Centerville PTA & Scouts BSA Troop 136)would be held on <br />November 4, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Centerville Elementary School. <br />XI.ADJOURNMENT <br />Page7of8 <br />47 <br /> <br />
