City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />September 3, 2019 <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Mosher, seconded by Commissioner Haiden to Close the Public <br />Hearing at 8:13 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried <br />V. AWARDS, PRESENTATIONS & APPEARANCES <br />1. Fence Variance for 1687 Sorel St. <br />Julie Lindsay of 1687 Sorel St. presented a concept sketch of a fence for which she may seek a <br />variance. The fence would extend into the front yard to keep dogs, etc. out of her yard, which <br />abuts a city trail. The commission gave varied opinions as to their perspective on the potential <br />application. No official action was taken, as this was simply a concept presentation. <br /> <br />VI. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Downtown Zoning Changes <br />a. Ordinance XX, Second Series-Rezoning Certain Properties from M-1 to M-2 <br /> <br />A short discussion on the map of the zoning changes was had. Commissioners expressed their <br />general approval of the proposed changes and thought they were in line with the current market <br />conditions and the comprehensive plan. <br />The commission also requested a change to the language regarding the density requirements of <br />each zoning district to clarify discrepancies between the code, Master Plan and Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Haiden, seconded by Commissioner Krueger to Approve. All in <br />favor. Motion carried <br />b. Ordinance XX, Second Series-Changes to M-1, M-2 and Table of Allowed Uses <br />The commission requested a change to the language regarding the density requirements of each <br />zoning district to clarify discrepancies between the code, Master Plan and Comprehensive Plan. <br />Motion by Commissioner Haiden, seconded by Commissioner Olson to Approve with <br />Clarification of Density Requirements. All in favor. Motion carried <br />c. Changes to Master Plan <br />Motion by Commissioner Krueger, seconded by Commissioner Olson to Approve. All in <br />favor.
