City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br />October 16, 2019 <br />Motion by Commission Member Hanzal, seconded by Commission Member Love to approve <br />expenditures as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />VI. REPORTS <br /> <br />1. <br />a. Block 7 TIF District Update <br />b. Revolving Loan and Grand Program Update <br />c. Downtown Zoning Changes Update <br />d. City Owned Property Update <br /> <br />Administrator Statz gave a brief, verbal update on various developments around the city and <br />reviewed his written report. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Promotional Video Proposal <br />Administrator Statz presented a proposal from Cade Imaging to complete a promotional video. <br />Discussion ensued and the commission elected to move forward with a video focused on economic <br />development, while offering additional funds for footage to be shot this fall to be included in a <br />more broadly based video on the community, completed at a later date. <br /> <br />Motion by Commission Member Love, seconded by Commission Member Hanzal to approve <br />the proposal as presented and authorize an additional funds to shoot footage this fall fro a <br />future video, with a total not to exceed cost of $3,000. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. 2020 Goals and Strategic Plan <br />The commission discussed a 3-legged approach, focusing on Promotion and Marketing, Existing <br />Business Retention, and Community Beautification. No formal action was taken. <br />IX. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commission Member Hanzal, seconded by Commission Member Weatherhead <br />to Adjourn the EDA meeting at 8:27 p.m. All in favor.
