The following people addressed the <br />Commission with their comments listed below their names/addresses in bulleted format: <br /> <br /> Melanie Nicks, 7029 Centerville Rd <br />o Does this affect Block 7 and are the changes being implemented only for this <br />development? <br />o Was not in favor of low-income rental units. <br /> <br /> Katie Dufault, 7045 Centerville Rd <br />o Concerned about Zoning changes lowering property values <br />o People not moving into Centerville for Minneapolis style development <br /> <br /> <br /> Steve King, 1724 Sorel St <br />o Wanted M1 vs. M2 clarification <br />o Seeking to add clarification to the term “Adjacent”, in the code. <br /> <br /> Randy Gnadke, 1751 Main St <br />o Wanted to understand if he was able to still sell his home as a single family home. <br /> <br /> Mike Dufault, 7045 Centerville Rd <br />o Asked if these changes were city initiated, including the proposed apartment <br />development on Block 7. <br />o Seeking explanation of the common good which comes from developing the <br />property Block 7. <br />o Stated, he is an adjacent property owner to the Block 7 redevelopment and is <br />concerned with the impacts to his property. <br />o Wanted to understand tax impact of Block 7 project. <br /> <br /> Julie Lindsay, 1687 Sorel St <br />o Wondered if project is an improvement to the area. <br />o Are taxes affected? <br />o Wanted to know about assessments for roadwork. <br />o Felt development pattern was backwards-wants retail first <br /> <br /> Craig Hume, 1744 Heritage <br />o Would Block 7 development be 3 stories or 4 <br />o Does the city still have a 5,000 people goal? <br />o Questioned taxes related to M1/M2 <br />o Asked if home value would be affected <br /> <br /> Mary Beth Wasilowski, 1688 Heritage St <br />o Grew up in neighborhood <br />o Remembers Fire Station/Skating Rink <br />o Doesn’t like apartments <br /> <br /> <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />
