CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville's Parks & Recreation Committee <br />held a scheduled meeting on November 6, 2019 in the Conference Room, Centennial Fire Station <br />3. <br />Present: Committee Member Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br />Committee Member Kathy Freiermuth <br />Committee Member Brian Peterson <br />Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br />Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br />Also Present: Michelle Lasko, Council Member Liaison <br />Absent: Chairperson Kevin Waeghe <br />Mark Statz, City Administrator/Engineer <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Chairperson Brian Peterson, called the November 6, 2019 Meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Committee to order at 6:38 p.m. in the Conference Room, Fire Station 3. The <br />move was necessitated because no one had keys to the city hall. Results of the roll call <br />are shown above. <br />II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Motion made by Committee Member Bettinger, seconded by Committee Freiermuth <br />to add the following: Under New Committee Business, # 3 — January & February, <br />2020 Skate Nights; #4 — Meeting Norms; #5 — Fete de Lacs 2020. All in favor. Motion <br />carried <br />III. APPEARANCES - NONE <br />IV. UNFINISHED COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br />1. 19-011 Lights for Sledding Hill <br />In September, after a bid of $14,000 was received for installation of a pole and lighting <br />at the Sledding Hill. Administrator Statz offered to check on the cost of a solar light(s). <br />The cost notwithstanding, there could be a potential for light pollution to neighboring <br />homes. There were options of renting a portable generator, lights or use of fire truck <br />lighting. <br />Motion by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member <br />Errickson-Grahek, to table this item to the December P & R meeting. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />
