COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />Resolution # 19-____ <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINAL BUDGET AND TAX LEVIES FOR 2020 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has given input to staff regarding the 2020 General Fund Budget and Property <br />Tax Levy at several work sessions in 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing to obtain public input on the 2020 General Fund Budget and Property Tax Levy <br />was held by the City Council of the City of Centerville on December 11, 2019; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Centerville, County of Anoka, <br />State of Minnesota, that the City Budget is hereby adopted as follows: <br />General Fund $2,710,633 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following sums of money be transmitted to Anoka County for <br />purposes of a preliminary property tax levy for purposes of the Truth in Taxation property taxes notice for the <br />following purposes: <br />General Fund Levy $2,262,145 <br />Debt Service Levies: <br />Anoka Co 30 - Fund 309 - 2012A Police Station Refunding Bonds 74,750 <br />Anoka Co 31 - Fund 352 - 2013A Street Reconstruction 164,300 <br />Anoka Co 34 - Fund 351 - 2016A Street Refunding 218,213 <br />Total Debt Levies $457,263 <br />Total Proposed Tax Levy $2,719,408 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that because sufficient funds have been irrevocably deposited into the debt <br />service fund, the following levy amounts are hereby cancelled: <br />Anoka Co 34 - Fund 351 - 2016A Street Refunding $40,000 <br />Anoka Co 32 - Fund 348 - 2013A Street Reconstruction 216,100 <br />Anoka Co 33 - Fund 352 - Cable TV Capital Note 7,656 <br />Total Cancelled Levy $263,756 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby instructed to transmit a certified copy of <br />this resolution to the county auditor of Anoka County, Minnesota along with all required documentation. <br />Passed and Adopted by the City of Centerville this 11th day of December, 2019. <br /> ________________________________________ <br />Mayor, Jeff Paar <br />_________________________________ <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br />28 <br /> <br />
