CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION #19-0___ <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the council September 11, 2019, the <br />designated engineer for the project has prepared plans and specifications for the <br />Downtown Street and Utility Improvements, described as: Centerville Road north of <br />Main Street, Sorel Street west to its beginning/end and east to it beginning/end, Progress <br />Road from Main Street to Heritage Street, Goiffon Road from Sorel Street to Heritage <br />Street and Heritage Street east from Centerville Road to its beginning/end consisting of <br />full reconstruction with the addition of storm sewer and water main. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof, are hereby approved. <br />2. The city clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper (and in an <br />approved regional publication) an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be <br />published twice, for the period prescribed by law, shall specify the work to be done, shall <br />state that bids will be received by the clerk until 10 a.m. on January 21, 2020, at which <br />time they will be publicly opened in the council chambers of the city hall by the city clerk <br />and engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at a regular <br />meeting, in the council chambers of the c <br />hearing. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid <br />will be given an opportunity to address the council on the issue of responsibility.
