Rebranding The Rebranding Committee will meet on December 11 at 4:30 PM to finalize the logo design, discuss tag lines and outline a roll-out plan. Anoka County Board Special Election Absentee balloting for the Anoka County Board open seat is set to begin in late December, with the special election to be held on February 11, 2020. The schedule for the special election is as follows: AbsenteeBallotingBeginsGeneral46dayspriortoelectionFriday,December27,2019 SpecialElectionELECTIONDAYTuesday,February11,2020 Absentee Voting 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday unless otherwise noted 10:00am to 3:00 pm on the Saturday before Election Day 7:30 am until 5:00 pm on the Monday before Election day City Hall Excess Property Staff took input from the Council, at their last meeting, about interest in marketing excess property on the City Hall/Fire Station campus for sale to a direction was to investigate whether the land might be better used as a site for a future public works garage, funded through the sale of the existing public works building. Staff is working to complete this evaluation. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Quad Area Chamber of Commerce The chamber helped organize a meeting between representatives of the 3 cities in the chamber which have community festivals. Ideas and resources were shared and the festival organizers will look for ways to help each other with equipment, advertising and the like.
