City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br />June 19, 2019 <br /> <br /> (b) Kelly’s Korner <br /> (c) Mastercard (Corner Express) <br /> <br />Motion by Commission Member Weatherhead, seconded by Commission Member <br />Giovinazzo to approve Northland Securities, Kelly’s Korner and Mastercard (Corner <br />Express) expenditures as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VI. REPORTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator’s Report <br />a. Block 7 TIF District Update <br />b. Revolving Loan and Grand Program Review <br />c. Downtown Zoning Changes Update <br />d. City Owned Property Transfer to EDA <br /> <br />Administrator Statz gave a brief, verbal update on various developments around the city. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Proposed 2020 EDA Budget <br /> <br />Administrator Statz presented a draft 2020 Budget for the EDA, working within the currently <br />allocated budget from the City Council’s Draft 2020 General Fund Budget. Discussion ensued <br />regarding the budget items and specific expenditures that may fall under each category including <br />things such as website hosting and design, promotional videos and the like. <br /> <br />The commission also discussed whether their would be an obligation to stay within each line item’s <br />budget or if there could be expenditures of more in one category, if offset by lower expenses in <br />another, staying within the overall budget. Administrator Statz stated that variable line item costs <br />was common and the goal is to stay within the overall budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Commission Member Weatherhead, seconded by Commission Member <br />Giovinazzo to approve the EDA Budget as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Marketing Plan – City-Owned Properties <br />a. Stantec Proposal for Concept Sketches <br /> <br />After some discussion, no action was taken on this item. <br /> <br />IX. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commission Member Lakso, seconded by Commission Member Giovinazzo to <br />Adjourn the EDA meeting of September 18, 2019 at 8:28 p.m. All in favor.
